Ronald McDonald House:
Twice a month, for many years, we donate 5 cases of fruit per delivery. Many family members attending send out Thank You cards to us saying, “how much just a pear means to a parent that is depleted by stress”.
Kits for Kids:
We have made a monetary donation for many years to this charity. It supports that every 2 out of 5 children live in families that struggle from clothing to even school supplies.
Pennies from Heaven:
A few times a year, for many years, we have been making a monetary donation. The charity helps to ease financial hardships for families whose children are hospitalized by providing things such as lunches, household bills, car repairs or travel.
Shoes and Clothes for Kids:
Another charity we have supported for many years. Shoes and Clothes for Kids helps provide brand new shoes and clothing for Greater Cleveland’s Children in need.
Dress Down Friday:
On Fridays, our employees have the opportunity to wear jeans to work and pay $1.00. Every quarter, we discuss with the participants where we are donating the money. We have donated to the Portage County APL, funeral services for employees and employee’s families, and Toys For Tots to name a few.
Breast Cancer:
Each October, we design and sell t-shirts to employees; all sales are matched by the Sirna Family and donations sent to the Susan G. Komen fund.
Toys For Tots:
For a few years now, we have been an official drop-off location for Toys For Tots in Portage County, by collecting brand new toys for children of all ages. We start in October and collect until the beginning of December at both our Ravenna and Norwalk locations. Many of our employees participate and customers have sent toys back with our drivers. You are also welcome to drop off during our hours of operation.
Center Of Hope:
For the past few years we have been working with the Center of Hope in Ravenna around the holidays. We donate enough celery, onions, carrots, potatoes and mixed fruit to help feed hundreds of families.
